Delta did come up with lots of nice celluloid and resin materials. I really miss the Delta signature antique looking ornate silver cap rings, so rare in modern pens these days.

I think of it as sand on the beach...there's a light brown component that is visible in the barrels of both of mine but not so much in the cap. I don't know if that's a fluke or not. Here I've compared with a Delta in the same material. The material has multiple blues, from bright turquoise to more of a Prussian Blue, and the streaks of brown. The newer Leonardo Dark Hawaii is the same stuff minus the turquoise. The funny thing is, there's so much variety in each individual pen that the Delta looks just like the Hawaii Dark from one side, and just like the regular Hawaii from the other...

Wow, a lucky owner of the Delta Blue Jay! I missed that one at the time...

yes, these striped resins are really nice... I'm now waiting for the Sand version of the Grande, it looks different!

The sand is really nice. I'm surprised how much I like it. It has a nice sheen to it, but it's also a bit more understated. But it's the copper that really grabs my attention.

The copper looks very nice, I do like the colour and the flakes, but in a way is more similar to other pens in brown flakes.

The sand caught my attention, the resin material is constructed similarly to the Hawaii, but the grey-brown tone is unlike anything else I can recall.

I own a Marlen made in a similar type of resin but in reddish/orange tone.

That's gorgeous! In your photo, in looks more teal than in the other photos I have seen.

I'm hoping these come out in the regular Momento Zero size pens.

Aaugh! I want a Leonardo now. A pen pal has one or more. What is a good price for a Momento Zero?

Finally bucked and got myself a Leonardo and I can see why this pen-maker is so beloved in this past year or two. A big shout out to Danny at Fook Hing in Singapore for getting me one and tuning the nib whilst we talked pens. No affiliations, just a very happy customer.

sansenri: Beautiful red resin with depth and variation in the pattern. It looks like the inside of the sea shells, with a kind of mother pearl lust.

AGxM and MalcLee: Nice teal and orange ebonite with Art Deco etching. I imagine that they feel great too!

Congratulations to all!

Waiting for my Grande in Ebonite and Music nib :-)

I'm very curious how the nib and red feed turns out!

Anybody else did order one?

Cheers

Michael

Yes! Here's my blue Art Dèco Grande with a music nib:

dfbach...great looking pen!! Any chance we might get a writing sample? Also, on occasion, I use the reverse side of the nib for fine lines and fine writing. Have you tried this on your music nib?

Thanks!

Dear como,

Thank you for your comment ! - the pen isnt heavy at all being ebonite, is well balanced unposted and the Art Deco etchings on the barrel and cap aligns by itself without having keep recapping it multiple times - which is a very nice touch from Leonardo. It is a keeper.

A Leonardo made for Tainan Pen Show 2019, a collaboration between Tom Westerich of Penboard.de and Leonardo Officina Italiana.

Wow, I love this one! it's an incredible mix of Italian pen styles, there's a lot of Delta, some Tibaldi, and Tom Westerich's hand in it too!

Does Tom sell it?

Gorgeous! I love some of those old Delta cap bands.

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

Thank you. I bought it from Tom. I could be wrong but I think it's sold only through him. +1 re styles. It reminds me of some of the semi transparent celluloids, though the material is resin. And a true piston that can be disassembled. The nib design has a bit of the vintage nib style with the diamond shape imprint.

Thank you. It does resemble old Delta cap bands. This design is inspired by ornament from a Taiwanese temple.

Congratulations! It looks great. And this mention intrigues me a lot. Is this not a c/c filler but a piston filler? And it can be disassembled? Very much interesting. Can you please describe it a little bit more? :eureka:

Thank you for that explanation, Como, it makes the pen even more special. What a work of art - congratulations!
