I tempted with Mosaico in baobab but don't look in stock on Leonardo pen site and waiting list in other places.  Wondering if to be discontinued?

Many shops do not stock these pens but can get them from Leonardo within two weeks or so. Casa della Stilografica says they have the Baobab in stock as of this morning. (No affiliation except as customer.)

Snagged a Temenuri Essenza off the Special Edition page.  Should be here Monday.

Congratulation! Beautiful pen. It looks like the "Essenza" model is similar to the "Minimalist" model but with no rings at all and no clip.

Do you know who does the lacquering for Leonardo? Do you have any Japanese Urushi pens to compare quality-wise to this Urushi?

Does anyone have Supernova "Bohemian Twilight" photos to share?  Somehow there aren't any yet in this thread, despite the large number of pages!

I have an ebonite Essenza with just a clip and no other metal.  Size is similar to MZG.

According to the website a French Artist Morgan Wisser.  I have one Urushi pen, a Wancher Dream pen that turns out is a really nice pen for the price.  I already know I like the Essenza dimensions and I've worked a ton of overtime this past month with more coming so this was pretty easy to jump on.

New pen day! A new model from Leonardo Officina Italiana - “Audace.” It is the length of the Momento Zero but it is girthier and has no step-down to the section. Mine is #12 of 23, fitted with a 14Kt 1.1mm stub.

For comparison of size ...

Left to right: MZG 2.0; MZG; MZ; Momento Magico; Audace.

I inked with Leonardo Black. I have just written a few lines with the Audace so far, and it is smooth and crisp. A terrific writer.

Cute!  I had it in my cart and almost checked out, but had second thoughts at the last moment.

I think I could cash in my 401k and just buy Leonardos.

Just when I think I'm satiated David shows another knock out.

😄

This pen is from a very limited edition. There is an ebonite pen in this format on Leonardo's web site. I like it and hope there will be more pens in the "Audace" format as regular editions. I think it's a winner.

I ordered the MZG 2.0 in Primary Manipulation (gloss finish) directly from Leonardo.

I am really happy with the material, and the elastic fine nib 😀

This showed up today, #2/4.  The eggshell is on the ends.  I can't get pictures that do this thing justice.  The #8 La Fenice 1.1 Stub is beautiful and writes very well.  I'll have to break the camera out this weekend to see if I can get some good pictures of this pen.

That's a beauty for sure! I have one ordered myself. No word regarding shipping yet.

Congratulations on that pen! Enjoy it.

I confess that I went a little crazy this month, buying Leonardo LE's. Here's the one that arrived yesterday:

Because Micarta stains easily, this pen came with a couple of accessories: A spare section in black resin and a tube that can be used to fill the converter from an ink bottle. I have a few of these tubes from various makers. Personally, I prefer a syringe to fill converters, if I don't want to dip the nib in ink. That's less messy, in my experience.

Note that this is strictly a C/C filler. There is no piston. The Micarta feels nice. This is my first pen in this material. The nib writes well. I have the option to swap in other JoWo #6 nibs and may do so.

Stay tuned for my other recent beauties.

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to try the Audace in Sand Ebonite with a number 8 B nib:53022500-7213-4101-8754-2A94F0F494EC.thumb.jpeg.8926ac3dedf0cfcbe61cc8a8f97d7560.jpegdf28a296-9a22-4368-8cc9-dd8fe6ffd041.thumb.jpeg.78d7cb7598f5ed22f67a1a58a3eb6523.jpeg

this is a pen which is much better in real life.
