First basic attempt at capturing my new LOI MZG Golden Rule. The depth of the material and color play are a challenge for my poor photo skills and simple phone, but the pen is worth the effort. When I do a real set of shots I'll detail the pen a bit more. Very pleased with this, and a big shout to Marco of Casa della Stilografica for fulfilling a personal ask.

Well done! Marco is a very good person to work with, enjoy your pen!

Leonardo Tredici Arlecchino with extra fine elastic nib!

I'm very confident that this resin Leonardo will last longer than its celluloid Omas predecessors!

I recently received the MZG in Primary Manipulation 4, with a size 8 nib from Casa Della Stilografica.  Initially I had received the pen with the wrong nib (size 6), and I liked the look of the first pen's material more, but such is the luck of the draw.  But I was surprised at how different the feed is between the size 6 and size 8 nibs...

I certainly understand the situation with differences in material like this (from Jonathon and others). But that said, the pen still has a magical look to it, ready to cast spells with the written word. The matching of the #8 nibs with the ebonite feeds has led to some wonderful writing in my pens. I hope you enjoy this one!

Interestingly, it looks like Leonardo has slightly changed their feeds, maybe because of Bock vs Jowo.  Here is my Tainan Pen show pen, where you can see how shallow the feed is.

And here is the feed on the more recent PM4 I had initially received with size 6 nib:

Joined the Leonardo club.  Piston filler plus ink window sealed the deal.  I requested a darker piece and they did not disappoint.

Congratulations on joining the "club!" I have a Momento Magico ordered in the same material. I didn't request any special variant. So, it will be a surprise. Yours looks very nice.

Thank you!  I was not certain about my choice of material when I ordered, but am very happy with it now.  The writing experience has been pleasant, smooth with modest feedback with a steel extra fine nib.  Comparison with Santini Italia Libra Safira with a extra extra fine (0.4mm) white gold nib attached.

I just got my Pietra Salata too! but no pics yet...

The brownish/purple darker material in it seemed to call for gold, so I went with the gold trim this time (I bet yours is gold trim too, David... :D)

You are correct. It is gold underneath the Rhodium plating. 😊

The last three were blue, because I forgot to post them with their siblings. 😢

Well, this might be slightly premature, since another Leonardo is en route and scheduled to arrive in 3 days. On the other hand, it seems there is always one or more Leonardos en route to me. I think the syndrome should be called the LAST Pen (Leonardo Acquisition Syndrome Trouble Pen).

That is what is known in the trade as "one handsome-ass collection"!! Beautiful pens, David, plenty of variety but still a familial pattern. A great gathering.

Now, next time, please align the clips so my OCD doesn't act up! 😀

I'll have a talk with them, Jon! 😒Some of them get distracted and don't keep their clips on the camera. No different from any other family or class photo, I think. 🤣
