Diamine Marigold Vs. Sailor Kin Mokusei

The Dahl quote is in Diamine marigold. The Morrison quote is in Sailor kin mokusei. Theyre nice, subtle, shading, orangey inks. I prefer marigold, not even including price as a consideration.

The words in Diamine Marigold are certainly far more readable at a glance, even though your handwriting looks as pleasant and skilful in either ink.

It's interesting how intense the colour is on the capital I and capital T in the Toni Morrison quote, though, compared to the rest of the words and letters written in Sailor Shikiori kinmokusei.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Thank you, very interesting; they look similar to Inti and Ambre de Baltique, the former being hard to get, the latter expensive; they both start looking almost the same. On Rhodia paper here:

Dill, you’re right on those first letters. I’m guessing the ink was a little preloaded for those characters.

SenZen, I have some Inti ... will check it out. It might be a shade rustier than marigold and kin mokusei.

Great comparison. I prefer the Sailor ink myself.

What nib size were these quotes written with?

(I mainly use smaller nibs, and often inks that shine in broad nibs lose their looks in finer ones)

These were written with a medium nib. The marigold is just a tad darker, and both display excellent shading.
