Looking For Information About "the Write-Right Pen, John Foley Jr. N.y"

I'm looking to find some information about the following vintage pen. Imprint on it is as follows,
THE WRITE-RIGHT PEN
JOHN FOLEY JR. N.Y
This pen has a rather odd pattern on the barrel, barrel and section doesn't show any wear from use, discoloration or scratches. I unfortunately doesn't have the original nib or the cap for this pen:(
Only resources i can find about john foley's pens is the catalog / book from the library of congress (https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=loc.ark:/13960/t5x645j7r) which has drawings of their pens (dip pens) / the foley's bank nibs. Also the article (http://newpentrace.net/penbase/Data_Returns/full_article5381.html?ID=327&cname=). I am assuming this pen is also from the same company which may or may not be the case.

Front part of the feed on this pen is very very long. I'm currently using a waterman no 4 nib that only just fit. I don't know what the original nib would have looked like. opening in the section is fairly round compared to other pens i have from around the same times which has sort of shaped around the nib and the feed. section does have a small crack so may be it didn't have a nib in it for too long.

Hopefully some one would know more about these pens :) i would like to know what type of nibs it takes and with luck hopefully find one. Only nibs i have encountered so far are dip nibs unfortunately :(.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have a couple of John Foley dip nibs - good ones - so I imagine that the company started making these newfangled fountain pens when they started coming in.

I'd suggest AAAndrew's annals would be a good place to look.

Finally with a foley's No 2 nib . Although i am not sure if this is the matching nib for the pen :(.

This nib looks more like a dip pen nib but has a slightly different profile to the dip pen version and doesnt have the year stamp on it.
