Conid Delivery Time

No, you are not as patient as you said. But hey we all have our limits :D Hope Conid can sort it out soon. It would be a pity otherwise. All they have to do is to post online a weekly chart of which orders (by order number) they will be working on and how long is the estimated waiting time for new orders, as estimates. That alone would have calmed a lot of customers.

Yes that was/is me. As pointed out above I'm still being patient, in that I'll purchase at a later date. So no contradiction. In the interim I'll put those monetary units to use elsewhere.

I'm still waiting for a second Conid, and prepared to wait even longer.

May I ask when did you place the order for your second one? I am waiting for a second one too.

I placed the order for a second Conid mid August.

As one with a modest pension I decided to use the funds for another purpose. Time was not the issue.

Hope you get your second one fairly quickly once the guys at Conid sort their issues out.

Sure, it's your money, you do what you please. The biggest problem I have with Conid is that meanwhile I wait for the pen to come, I bought other pens that I probably otherwise wouldn't have bought. I am not sure whom to blame, or Conid or me. I blame them partially anyway! :D :D :D

  • 3 weeks later...

I am waiting from Conid 2 orders-one made on July and one made in August.Today i mailed them to cancel both orders because the delivery therm on both orders was overdue by a minimum of 3 months. It is very frustrating to not be able to comunicate with them, especialy considering the price of the pens.

It's a bit unfortunate on both sides..

Like Como has rightly suggested an one-liner update on Conid's blog might calm many nerves :)

Just wondering whether it would be a good idea to post an update (oneliner) on their blog on the number of shipments/type , being made every month (if estimation is a challenge). This might prevent future owners from cancelling their orders and at least bring a little bit of song to the usual radio_silence!!

Some Pen & Paraphernalia Reviews

I received this Conid Monarch Minimalistica from Fontoplumo today. I ordered this pen from Frank mid November, a few days after Conid announced their pause for accepting new orders. At the time of order, Frank wasn't sure if this batch would arrive on time, because of Conid's announcement (it was scheduled for end of November delivery). So I decided to try my luck and expected some delay. My last Conid pen, delivered in October, had a delay of over two months. This one, as it turned out, also a little over two months. This is not a typical order through Conid directly, and its production was in the schedule already. So it's not the best data point, but it's one data point, for what it's worth.

I thank Frank of Fontoplumo for being honest, helpful and very professional. The pen itself is wonderful, as is my first Conid Kingsize. I have an M titanium nib on the Monarch Minimalistica. Wet and smooth, and has hardly any feedback.

Gorgeous pen. Are those red hard rubber ends?

Too many pens; too little writing.

Orange ebonite. Dutch! :D Thank you!

Well I stand corrected. Gorgeous pen and enjoy it in good health.

Thank you, mongrelnomad. On a separate note, congratulations to Conid, having narrowly missed sharing the same name as the new coronavirus - Covid! We got lucked out!! ;)

Thank you for the update @bso

Lovely choice of inscription :)

My maths is poor but it was fun reading about Euler's identity

I sure hope that it will inspire Conid to deliver in a more logarithmic fashion :D

It's great to hear that orders are being delivered.

It's much easier knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Congratulations, bso! The regular model is growing on me :) I have the Kingsize Streamline and the Minimalistica. The Kingsize is super. I am also very happy with the Minimalistica, though a cool looking cap band and a screw cap would make it perfect. Sometimes I think about getting the regular, if they can just drop the double O-rings in the piston knob. But of course these are personal preferences. I know it does serve a purpose, for those who post pens.

My view on Conid is that: bare essential level of communication; superb built quality; will deliver eventually.

At the moment this is what it is. I trust them, but must be patient if I were to order another.

Want to share happy news. My Conid ordered in June 2019 has arrived on February 14, 2020.

I regret not buying three when I had a chance!!

Couldn’t agree more, as regards the Regular’s O-ring plagued knob.

i swear by my Minimalistica, still waiting on the second one I ordered, but the lack of an ink window is a genuine complaint I have. The Regular can be tempting at times, but that end knob and the concave section leave me appreciating my Minimalistica more and more.

Though, as you say, it is nothing more than personal preference.
