HI everyone! Recently i got this pen from a local dealer for reasonable price.

I was directed to post it in this sub section. It is a sterling silver pen with 14k gold nib.

Its a tank pen.

It shows a "made in" ENGLAND in cap and 925 incused in the Body.

The clip shows the brand name Raja.

There also RAJA incused in the cap.

Any more information on this is welcome.

Some Raja pens were made by Valentine and your clip looks identical to those. However I suspect this clip may not be original to this pen (the original - if there was one - would likely have been silver coloured), even though it says Raja on the cap and the section shape does not look like a Valentine made one. I suspect Raja were a bit like National Security and sourced their pens from several suppliers over the years. Still a nice looking pen and very interesting to see.

What a lovely pen. Nice find and thanks for sharing.

Sadly I know nothing of the Raja pen, and a quick search doesn't really bring up anything that looks relative to this particular pen.

Hope someone can provide some good information.

Black hard rubber ………….. don't expose to daylight more than is necessary - don't allow any contact with water - try to be uncharitable and avoid lending to anyone. It may take a long time for the Sterling to tarnish, but the suggestion here might be that if you need to clean the metal then some form of dry cleaning is best - don't use a proprietary liquid silver cleaner which might allow the chemical to infiltrate the filigree.

Do you intend to use this pen? :)
