After thinking at first I hadnt emailed The Writing Desk quickly enough after they announced the release, then getting an email to confirm I had been allocated one, I collected mine from the delivery office yesterday. Its number 933.

It is an extravagance, and Im having to sell some other pens to cover the cost (particularly as I also have college fees to pay that take priority over frivolous items!) But! Its beautiful, and I think it may have sated my modern pen needs!

Is the pen serialised? Or is the numbering on the box?

I put a few more photos in a recent post on my blog. I was surprised at how big the box is and how thick the notebook is, but the pen itself is very nice, and the EF nib is a joy to use. It's made me fall in love with the 2000 all over again.

I checked my email before I left work, drove 15 minutes to work, had an email from Fontoplumo saying the Lamy bauhaus was back in stock. But the pens were sold out in that 15 minute time frame it took me to get to work. :bawl:

Oh, wow! I was away for a few weeks and didn't get to see any pictures until now. Stunning!

Too bad I don't like the L2K. I wish they would make a similar CP1.

Mine arrived today from Sakura Pen Gallery in Belgium, lovely packaged along with two chocolate bars.

It is a very nice pen indeed and the notebook is impressive.

After seeing all the pics on Reddit and Instagram, I'm starting to regret that I passed on my Goulet drawing. I just have a hard time justifying paying more than double over the regular black 2000...hopefully, down the road they'll pop up on eBay for reasonable prices or Lamy will introduce it as a regular color like they did with the Bluegreen Al-Stars.

Im hoping for the same; cheaper price blue lamy 2000 on ebay.

When the black Amber was released it was also obscenely priced. I lucked out and got one off ebay for a price equivalent to stainless steel lamy 2000. That was a good catch.
