Vintage Japanese Hard Rubber Fountain Pens Onoto-Style?

If all you are after is the exterior look, then maybe an Eboya Kyouka may fit, they have a small, medium and large version. https://eboyashop.com/collections/kyouka/products/kyouka-tanshin-m-size They are Japanese ebonite with the Onoto shape. But keep in mind, this modern version is cartridge converter. The Ban-ei pen you originally looked at should be a Japanese eyedropper.

Let us know what you decide and end up getting. :puddle: :puddle: :puddle:

Would you mind posting the link to the vintage Ban-ei oversize that you found please? My googling of that exact title does not show it anywhere! Thanks!

Sold last year, but a very detailed description so that you can continue your search, Good Luck!

You are an absolute STAR! Thanks very much! Yup, that was the very pen that I passed on due to the 25% uplift that i would have resented paying for the privilege of importing it! I shall be keeping my eyes peeled for a Ban-ei! I've never been to Japan... maybe I'll consider it now! :D

You can try emailing Mr. Fujii at EuroBox http://euro-box.com/ in Tokyo, they specialize in vintage pens. Mr. Fujii is a very kind man who also speaks English. Happy pen hunting.

welcome to the incredible world of Japanese pens, lots of interesting pens.

Aside from a Pilot Elite with sterling cisele' cap my only foray thus far into the world of Japanese pens is this Yatate, for which I would love to find a correctly sized set of original pens / brushes:
