Wing Sung Vacuum Filler Pens - Guess At What Price?

All the EF and M nibs are sold out in Bobby's AE store.

Just found out why I wasn't able to locate the pens on my E*ay app.

All the seller mentioned does not ship to my country for unknown reason, what the hell?

 

Oh well, just have to wait until Bobby puts them in his E*ay store or E*sy.

Alright ,a couple of take from that video:

 

- This pen for me seems to have an identity crisis. Body of Vac700R, nib of Pilot and cap of TWSBI

- FIlling a vacuum filler from an ink bottle that is low on capacity will be a pain in the behind

- Writes quite dry , don't know if it's from the ink or the pen though

- Not exactly sure what pen did the reviewer compare it with at the end, I assume it's a Preppy? And it writes better than the WS.

- Treated to almost a minute of a thumbnail-like pen pose, goodness...

 

Might need to switch out the nib and feed from some Pilot pens if this is the case.

I got mine (Wing Sung models) a couple of days ago. Here's my take. It's more than competent but a little heavy. Does feel like a smaller Vac 700 in the hand due to the bulge.

 

I like Wing Sung's version of the vac filling system. Don't need to mess with shutoff valves. The thing comes apart with just fingers!

It depends on what you mean by posting. You can technically fit the cap over the end of the pen, and it goes down about 3 cm. But it just rests there. There's absolutely no kind of grip on the barrel. It would rattle away and eventually fall off if you tried writing with it that way.

Has anyone compared this pen's ink capacity to that of the 698?

 

If they are similar, it's probably better just to get a 698 that doesn't look so pregnant.

If the 698's ink capacity is a problem, not sure what to say

 

The only reason I don't make the 698 my everyday pen is sharp threads above section. Otherwise almost perfect pen and incredible value.

So I've received and used mine for a couple days. It could be just me, or maybe manufacturing inconsistency, but mine definitely has the shutoff valve function. I need to twist the end cap slightly to replenish the ink supply in the feed.

OK I try one hand on, yes there is a shut off valve and it work ; its actually coming out better than I expected , and the Brown and Purple are deeper and darker than on the photo which I really like, got to put them on my next buying list

Interesting. Here's a way to experiment. Fill the barrel with water. Remove the nib/feed. Point the pen down and shake a bit. Water comes out.

 

Doesn't gush but enough to indicate that the barrel isn't sealed.

Mine's got about a very small gap of about 0.2 mm between the plunger and the bottom of the section. It's probably a manufacturing variance, then. I'll see if there's anything I can do to advance the rod further from the blind cap.
