...need to re-test with a broader nib to show the delicate color better!

Cheers

Ohh, inadvertently introduced to Sailor Ink Studio range with one of the sample cards in these photos! Thank you for that! Now must go read about how to buy those in USA... (Or in Tokyo or Sendai in Japan).

Great review, expresses this ink perfectly. Luckily for my wallet I really enjoy using Vert Empire.

Sigh... I enjoyed the earliest Kyonooto inks, great colours and lovely packaging label. Sadly their recent releases are such wishy-washy colours (which to my dismay seems to be quite a trend because so other brands are doing it: Sailor, Montblanc, that “Lady Edition” ink are you kidding me?!...). This one looks like a bluer and less murky version of Seitz Kreuznach Tundra Green (that I hate). It saves me money though.

Thanks for another great review!

A very thorough review - thank you :)

Thanks also for the information on Penlux - I had never heard of this brand.

# lgsoltek. wishy washy colours , I agree with you, I liked the earlier inks also more

I found a nice description for this ink:

Urahairo can be translated as the underside of a leaf. 'Ura' means 'underside' and 'Ha' means leaf. Since the Heian-era when Kyoto was the capital of Japan, people have loved this colour and used it for the colouring of textiles for kimonos, towels, baby clothes, etc. This ink brings a pale and subdued green just like the sunlight when it falls through the leaves of a forest.

You make this look so special.

(I can see past the siren's song though and realise it's not for me ;))

. . . those labels though

I would imagine it's your cup of tea (or cup of ditch water? :D)...

Even my liking for washed out pale inks won't allow this one into the fold. It seems like it would annoy me and make me press harder to get a darker line. I'll pass on this.

(I have just taken delivery of Diamine's Misty Blue  - prhaps the tide is turning for me Lgsoltek B) )

Great review and a perfect match to the pen.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
