I think my love for shimmer inks stops and starts with emerald of chivor and nemosine blue snowball nebula. Everything else just feels like a kid with a glitter pen to me for some reason.

I don't look for glitter, I don't mind it in Rouge Hématite, but I would hate for this ink to turn out to be high maintenance as well...

They should include Kyanite with the bottle to get rid of negative energy while writing, promoting clarity of thought.

 

Rename it Herbin 1798 Clarity.

I'm generally not a shimmery-kind of person but I do have a handful of Herbin's shimmer inks. I started with EoC and it's still my favorite and the only one I use regularly. I got Rouge Hematite thinking it would pair well with EoC for Christmas cards (it did not). I recently tried a little Stormy Grey and liked it, mainly because the shimmer was only noticeable if you looked really closely, but I probably won't buy a bottle unless I find a great deal.

 

Disco Kon Peki is not a color I normally enjoy (though I do actually like Kon Peki–I'm a man of contradictions) so I'll probably pass on this one.

I too use only EoC from the range. The rest were tried from friends/samples and then forgotten.

I think Rouge Hematite maybe also causes trouble because of the red dye, as red is known to generally cause trouble...? (nib crud and similar).

Kyanite du Népal might be too close to Kon Peki for me.

From the Goulet sample, I don't think the color seems close to Kon-Peki.

On the reddit swab, it has some similar shades but not on writing sample.

I think a $2.25 investment in a sample will clear the matter for potential buyers.

Irrespective of the reviews, colour and shading preferences are subjective and it sure beats buying the $30 bottle.
