Pelikan Edelstein Star Ruby (Ink Of The Year 2019)

Thanks for a great review- extremely thorough and interesting.

I obtained my bottle at the 2019 Pelikan Hub and was intrigued to try it out. The problem I find with this ink is not its colour- it is a beautiful reddish pink and close to the Iroshizuku Yama-Budo- but more its practical use. I could not imagine writing a long text in this colour and will probably end up using it as a colour for correcting documents (e.g. in the margins, or correcting words in a typed text). In the end, I think I would have preferred something a little darker, like the Diamine Red Dragon or even Sailor Kobe burgundy coloured inks.

But it was a nice addition to the Edelstein range. IMHO, the all time greats of the Edelstein range remain the Amethyst and Smoky Quartz inks.
