Is A Purple Twsbi Diamond 580 Alr Coming Soon?

A couple of days back TWSBI teased a purple Diamond ALR in their Insta Story and it has got me excited.

 

Is there any word on this anywhere else?

I wouldn't know. But I'd definitely be interested. I'm sorry now that I missed out on the Purple 580-AL from a few years ago (I've been using the Pink 580-AL -- from a year or two back -- a lot recently, because they hold so much ink). It's a heavy pen for me, but still within the range of manageable, although I still think that the piston not reaching all the way to the back of the feed is a design flaw.

I know that earlier models had issues with the pens cracking. Well, I can tell you for sure that they've fixed that -- yesterday when I was shopping, I dropped the pen onto a concrete sidewalk outside a store, and the roughly 3' drop doesn't seem to have left the pen any the worse for wear....

Yikes! Happy to know that your 580 survived. I love the way the 580 feels in hand. For me, the grip is better than that of the ECO (I have a 1.1 stub).

 

I currently own a 580 AL Silver and an ALR. I use the ALR for long writing sessions, while the AL is an EDC for short note taking. I'm really excited since I've seen the purple version. I forgot to take screenshots. IMHO, the purple ALR looks good with the colour accents repeated on the finial and the cap band.

 

I'm hoping TWSBI releases it soon and that it's available in India easily. Are you listening TWSBI?
