Oh! You can still get Lucky Orange! I figured it was a LE, and gone. But I never searched online for it.

For those who have used MB Burgundy, is it a true burgundy?

In the saturated parts the Cool Grey in that sample looks darker than Oyster Grey, and glad to see it has the same kind of shading I really enjoyed with Oyster Grey. Will definitely get a bottle when my current Oyster Grey runs out.

I'm sad to see Oyster Grey go. With all the grey inks out there it stood out for me by being noticeable warm. Cool greey might be darker, but if its as its name suggests, it will also be colder as well.

This is a longish thread now, and there are some extrapolations, but is there a more defined summary of the situation at this point? Is it known which standard inks are going away, which are staying, and what's happening with prices of the standard inks? I see that Oyster Grey has been replaced with Cool Grey. What about other standard colors like Irish Green and Lavender Purple?

As far as I am aware, the inks that are staying are Mystery Black, Royal Blue, Midnight Blue, Irish Green, Toffee Brown, Burgundy Red and the permanents. Cool Grey is replacing Oyster Grey, Modena Red is replacing Corn Poppy Red and I have been told by my retailer that Amethyst Purple is replacing Lavender Purple (this one isn't on the MB website yet). Manganese Orange and Pop Pink are new additions.

Oh lavander is going away????? I need to hoard 2 or 3 bottles, at least!

That's what I've heard from my retailer and is somewhat backed up by the old product image (rather than the new white box) still being used on the MB website. I'm not a huge fan of purple ink but I've ordered a spare bottle. I think that the replacement, 'Amethyst Purple', will be a brighter than Lavender but darker than the Beatles purple.

Is Manganese Orange anywhere close to Lucky Orange? I saw a post on the TWSBI Eco Sunset Orange, and the ink used was MB Lucky Orange.

Manganese Orange looks so cool in the bottle in photos. Im glad Irish Green and Lavendar Purple are still there. :-( for Corn Poppy Red. But I have my bottle plus Sheaffer skrip red, so thats enough red ink for now. Maybe just maybe Id get Irish Green and Lavender Purple. Perhaps Santa would bring one to me ;-)

Edited to add Burgundy is not truly represented in my ink stash. How do those who own it like it?

Lavender purple is gone. I ordered one from Appelboom and received Amethyst Purple from their new line.

I can confirm this (at least that this is the replacement and that it is darker than beatles, I do not have a bottle of lavender.) and have one bottle at home. Will show a sample as soon as Irish green in my FP runs out. Edited by Skv

I almost got a bottle of Lavender Purple on account of it being discontinued, but remembered it's a strong fader in the FPN light fading tests and hesitated.

It is... and it is not..!

I mean, sure it fades on the sun, but if your notebooks are safely stored, will it fade? My oldest lavander writing is 4 years old, and looks as good as new..!
