Rats. I was hoping petrol blue would not be a special edition so the price would be reasonable (MB reasonable ay least).

How I wish Montblanc offered only one colour a year...

I think they're trying their best to keep up with the Japanese inks.

Being SE, it is probably 35 € instead of 20 €. sad.png

"Color of the Year" sounds like MB has been, ah, inspired by Pelikan's Edelstein Ink of the Year concept.

INK (noun): A villainous compound of tannogallate of iron, gum-arabic and water,

chiefly used to facilitate the infection of idiocy and promote intellectual crime.

Makes sense, up next would be Pen's of the Year to match the colour... :D

Well you know they had the "annual edition" pens for a number of years. They were 144 models with porcelain caps painted with various themes.

GvFC may also already have rights to the Pen of the Year as a branded application to pens.

When did they stop and was it only the 144?

They stopped in 2012 and yes, it was just the 144 in that series. Here are some photos:

I remember now, similar to the PoA Marquise de Pompadour which is based on the 149 IIRC.

They ought to have continued since it was not encroaching on the 146 and 149 LE's.

Auds, I for one thank the stars for that or else I'd be dirt poor.

Are the ceramics prone to cracking? I would definitely have to take due diligence on where to place the cap (I can imagine it dropping from the table).

You would have to treat it with care, as you would any expensive ceramics.

Did they go to Santa Monica Pier?

The pictures always look nice however they never show all the homeless. You have to actually be there to see that.
