Montblanc Is Revamping Their Standard Ink Line!

Montblanc is introducing new ink colours in the 60ml shoe bottles. The new colours are called Cool Grey, Modena Red and Mangense Orange. Mysteriously, Oyster Grey and Corn Poppy Red have disappeared from their website.

Oh wow, good to know. Oyster and Corn Poppy are my favourites, I'll stock up on them while I can!

I just looked On Montblanc's website and I don't see in 60ml bottles Irish Green and Burgandy Red as well.

Midnight Blue is not available online as well. Time to stock up.

Montblanc France shows them. The only ones to have disappeared are Oyster Grey and Corn Poppy Red, replaced by Cool Grey and Modena Red, as far as I can see. Plus the Orange, which seems to have entered the standard line.

 

However, since not all regional websites were updated, we've yet to see the final decision, I guess. I hope Burgundy Red and Midnight Blue never disappear. They're my definite favourites.

Hm, a bummer if Corn Poppy Red really disappears - I really like it.

The challenge I have is that I keep stocking up on my favorite inks and now I have more than I will ever use!

I really fear that they plan a price hike for the regular coulours... which will be a bummer, as I feel they're very well-priced in the current market

They raise prices regularly already. I think the debut price of ink in the current bottle format was $13 maybe 12 years ago or so.

Corn Poppy red is the only true red in my collection but I don't use the ink often enough that I will ever run out.

Again I didn't see Midnight Blue on your link or on the one in the US. I'm surprised they are not reformulating the permanent inks.

 

Instead of Midnight Blue for formal affairs I guess I'll go with Organics Studio Nitrogen as a substitute...my clients will love the sheen...being totally facetious.

 

I'll be surprised if they don't have a blue/black ink...that's a mainstay color.

Addition of some permanent inks would be welcome, but I doubt it.

 

People will start stocking up to use or sell at a premium later, either way stocks will dwindle quickly.

im so out of touch with the newer inks... anyone using these leather or scotch scented ink, any good?
