Inspired by many photos on this thread I had to get another Etruria this time the Miele Selvatico. A gorgeous resin I think. Eventhough I would love to try their goldnibs I couldn´t. The 1,1 stub is interesting and works just fine.

I´m not usually liking goldtrim but here it just work beautifully.

It seems to be the thread of every passionate lover of Stipula. I have a question. I just purchased a stipula faceted and the seller wrote on his website that it's a stiflex but it's also written that it's a 18k nib therefore I am confused. So far I understood that sti flex are only 14k. Did you ever listen about 18k stiflex?

From Stipula's own web site discussion of their nibs:

  • "Sti-flex,Flexible nibs suitable for enhancing expressiveness, both in 14k gold and 18k gold;"

BTW, the history of Stipula's nibs described on their web site is pretty interesting. Recommended reading: https://www.stipula.com/en/il-pennino

I had never seen before this celluloid on an Etruria, and I like it a lot. They choose the darker parts of the rod to made the section, which seems a reasonable idea. Congratulations!

Beautiful Celluloid and silver, the nib is also a joy to write with.
