1. Does #3, #5, #10 adjustable nib only equipped on the first generation dorics?

NO. #5,6,7,9 10 CARRIED OVER TO GEN 2 FOR A LITTLE WHILE UNTIL REPLACED WiTH CARTOUCHE SLIDERS.

2. Are there any adjustable nib that with the solid silver slider has the same size as #6 and #9?

Answer. WELL CLOSE. #6 was a necked down nib to fit into a #5 section/feed. And #9 was a necked down nib to fit into a #7 nib pen. That said only 2 sizes of later cartouche sliders were made

 

3. Every adjustable nib should be together with ink shut off device when they are at factory condition, right?

Answer: No. Not all adjustable had shut offs.

 

4. Why the semitransparent segments on doric's barrel have different length in second generation standard dorics? (see pictures)

Answer the pens were hand made and while most are standard, variations are known to exist.

5. Except adjustable nibs, which nibs are considered to be the original nibs of Doric?

All the standard heart shaped breather holes can be found on 1st gen. Actually the adjustable nib was introduced almost a year and a half into the Doric era. Then in the 2nd gen, the skyline style nib and magic feed were introduced late in the 2nd gen era.

 

6. Does the second generation standard Doric's barrel have the same length as the Oversized one?

Answer: No

 

7. Which generation dorics are more collectable?

They are pretty equal. Condition is king. 1st gen was made of Jess stable plastics subject to breakdown.
