Danitrio Grand Trio (Hyotan) Cosmos (Choo)

Just picked up this Danitrio Cosmos (Choo) by Kenji Yamamoto. Marugane chirashi, raden, hirame-ji, and kingi maki-e. The section is stamped Grand Trio, which is the name the Hyotan model used to go by I believe. Amazing pen, super hard to photograph. I've been wanting an example of this artists work for some time. Good writer and gorgeous. This is an older model but I picked it up new and the LE number is 1/50.

What size is the nib? The Hyotan comes has a #6 nib, but I've only seen the T nibs in #5 size on the Hanryo.

It's a #6. Danitrio used Jowo nibs before switching to Bock. Some older pens have the so called T nibs. They are stiffer than the Bock nibs so some people even requested a swap to the older nibs on newer pens.

 

All the #5 nibs are Jowo T nibs as far as I have seen.
