It is from the first quarter of 2010. I have on the pen the mark "Q.III" which means it is from the first quarter of 2010.

I got this information and the link from a user of a German fountain pen forum.

Data Codes - Dating a Pen, Parker

Thomas

(I think it was someone other than me that expressed an interest, but) Apparently that same code was also used for 1st quarter 2000. You can see it 10 lines up from the 2010 codes in your link. I think it was unusual for them to repeat a code but it looks like they did in this case. This reference only goes up to 2011, I don't know what they did after that.

What makes 2000 the more likely year is that the Lapis color started in 1995 and ended in 2004. Also, the logo design at the top of the cap was discontinued in 2006 in favor of the Ace logo. That information is available on this page: http://www.parkerpens.net/centennial.html

Hello,
thanks for this useful information. Due to your posting I search a little bit in the net and found this review about the Duofold Blue Lapis Lazuli.

Duofold Blue Lapis Lazuli

About the year, I think you are right.....🙂

Stuck on lettering I think, I can feel the raised letters.  Definitely won’t be game to polish the pen.  The nib I had modified to a stub.  It’s a keeper.

But are the letters impressed into the barrel and then filled?  You could be feeling the edges of the impression.

Paul.

That looks like the Greenwich, Red DNA, Black DNA, and then a presumably quite rare red duofold? I don't recognise it.

Particular kudos for the Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee edition.

I never saw the Greenwich in detail before, but I have to say that it is a splendid and very desirable Centennial! And the Lapislazuli is unbelievable...

you are right glenn, have been looking at the engraving with a loupe and it is well done - although i can pick up the slight rise in the letters with a nail, it is imperceptible with a loupe.  will put it under a microscope next week and see if i can snap some pictures while i am at it

The date codes for 2010 onward are wrong on parkerpens.net. The date codes for the 2010 decade are reverted back to the ones that were for the 1990s decade.

Heinkle,

Regarding the Red Duofold that you don't recognise.

Its Parker name is Duofold FU Red. Basically, it's a Duofold FU (parts blow-out) staff pen.
The cap band layout is interesting. Instead of using three thin bands and two spacers (as per the original FU), Parker has opted to put four thin bands separated by one spacer in the same gap.
I don't know how many of these were made but I think "rare" is appropriate here.
I think the bar code is cool too.

Modern Duofolds are recent in my collection, and I spotted this Centennial in fleaBay listings in January 2021 when looking for some other Duofold colors.  I posted about it in the "What Parkers Have Joined Your Collection Lately" topic thread, but forgot to post it in this one.

The unusual feature is a set of cap rings made of Duofold material, which are from left to right: a black cap lip (which would normally be orange), and then rings of Mark 1 marbled blue, Mark 1 marbled red, Mark 2 Jade Green, Mark 2 Jasper Red, and Mark 2 Lapis Blue.  The quality of the work is top-notch, the rings are smoothly made and put together. There are no markings on the pen other than a standard Duofold "spirograph" medallion on the top of the cap.

I am most interested in your small collection but all I see is a little coloured box and "image preview" next to it.
