Help With Vintage Flexible Fountain Pen Hunting!

Those samples look pretty good to me...I’m not a calligrapher but I like line variation, and a long career in animation left me with the lightest of hands, so I covet flex.

The latest nonsense: goose quill pens.

To the OP, if you're still exploring vintage flex pens, I restore those regularly and I have helped many (as in hundreds of people) find their first (and second, and third, and so on) vintage flex pens and so far no one has yet throw them back at me :)

So feel free to check out my instagram @redeempens which is full of samples of what vintage flex pens can do.

Hello penwash

Or thank you I checked your account of instagramn and you have several interesting pens and brands that you did not know, it is interesting to know the great variety of brands of fountain pens that had in the past and that produce a good line variation as the brands that I already knew for example waterman, parker, sheaffer, wahl and concklin as you had told me previously in this forum and seeing the photos of writing samples of your instagram I was proven the quality of those fountain pens. :yikes:

Even with the money I was saving to buy a single vintage waterman fountain pen I can buy you several flexible fountain pens that interested me , you have good prices.

In a few weeks I will get some money that I have pending and after that I would like to communicate with you to talk about those that interested me and buy them. :)

Hi, thank you, I'm glad you liked my samples :) , now I have to find new ways to make the capital letters and adapt to the flexibility with regard to the lowercase letters, no problem.

Right now I started practicing the letter A and B in capital letters I will upload the new samples.

don't forget MB149s from 1952 till 1979 but also the 146 from the late 50's till the ones of 1986, you can have good surprises in terms of flex nibs.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

That's true I've seen some videos of those vintage montblanc 1950's and it has a good flexibility :) I just have not found them for sale.

I have several options and I am open to the recommendations that everyone makes in this forum.

Currently I have the eye to a waterman vintage hard rubber 52v and a 54v that produce a beautiful variation of line.
