No.9 Nib'd Budget Pens

hello good people.

 

i am a big fan of large no.9 nibs and to be able to make nice "voluptuous" line variations but are there any budget pens out there which offer a no.9 nib? are there any chinese manufactures who offer a nib bigger than no.6?

 

please advise.

 

i dont have money to fork up for a m1000 or a montagrappa or a visconti.

Indian pen makers like ASA and Ranga should be able to provide you a pen with a 40mm steel nib. 40mm is european no 8 nib. Same size as the Montblanc no 9 nib.

Couldn't you swap out the nib on a pen, say a Metro?

a pilot metro has a number 5 nib.
