That's a pity, I liked the yellow. I am in Tokyo also and was planning on dropping in tomorrow, perhaps I should go straight to the Mitsukoshi pen show first to look at their exclusive (the blue with specks) before it sells out.

I was thinking of going to Itoya first to look at common pens as I'm not familiar with a lot of them irl. Not many fountain pens where I live ;-) Even getting to try the range of nibs on a Platinum 3776 will be amazing :-)

I think they were talking about the Maruzen Athena 1870 blue ink, and not either the yellow ink or the 'Lemon' pen.

Oh I thought they were talking about the lemon pen!

Yeah today will be expensive, oh well! I can't afford any of the really expensive pens but it's going to be cool to see them :-)

OK, I know about 15-18 different Athena inks, which one?

In March, Maruzen Oazo had Athena Blue (not Eternal Blue) and Athena Black 30% off - because they have a selling limit of 2 years from the day of the production - and this 2 years day was approaching.

The Athena Blue, from what I can tell by dipping a pen into the bottle

 

EDIT: Or actually, the more I look at it, it's more likely Black. (But I got two bottles blind, so the other could be Blue.)
