Parker 75 Photo Thread

Hi, Folks!

I know there are a lot of Parker 75s out there that we can represent.

This is a Parker 75 Ecossais Place Vendôme gold plated fountain pen c. 1971-1973. Ecossais is French for “Scottish” and is so named because the guilloche engraving is a plaid pattern. It's about 5 inches long with gold plated trim. The cap top is dished. The cap band is stamped PARKER on the front and MADE IN FRANCE on the back. The Ecossais was made in both gold and silver plate. Ballpoint and rollerball models were also made.

Thanks!

Nice, I haven't seen that one before and my first thought was plaid! Too much for me but I enjoyed seeing it.

Very nice. Nice photo and background too. I remember seeing ads for the silver one. I always wondered why they didnt make that one in sterling. To me that was a missed opportunity by Parker. But if I came across either one of these, I would be very happy to have it. I missed the Parker 75, having gotten back into fountain pens after their discontinuation, but was lucky enough to find a Premier, based upon it.

lovely version,

good idea too, I think there are quite a number of different versions of the 75 around.

Unfortunately I own one only, but it's a classic, Silver Cisele, and I was rather lucky to find it in mint condition.

Silver Milleraies. I'd love to know how to clean it.

Very attractive. Some silver FOAM like Hagerty’s or Goddard’s (no affiliation) used with a soft sponge provided and water should do the trick. I find paste silver polish too abrasive but foam silver cleaner cleans gently and preserves the patina at the same time.

yes, and wash with soap and water after you have used any silver polish based cleaner.

Good advice!

USA made Rainbow. Mid '70's according to the Paker75.com site. This one's a bit beat-up, but still fun to look at.

Hi, Folks!

This is a Parker 75 Ecossais Place Vendôme silver plated fountain pen c. 1971-1973. Ecossais is French for “Scottish” and is so named because the guilloche engraving is a plaid pattern. It's about 5 inches long with rhodium plated trim. The cap top is dished. The cap band is stamped PARKER on the front and MADE IN FRANCE on the back. The Ecossais was made in both gold and silver plate. Ballpoint and rollerball models were also made.

The photo below shows two early sterling 75's. Apparently Parker experimented with different colored sections (Red, Blue, Gray, and clear - others?).

Items shown in the Photo: 1. Smooth section collar - not imprinted; 2. Die used to imprint the collar with the "0" reference and lines for personal nib adjustment; 3. Red Section; 4. Parker and Halo logo Die for imprinting pen; 5. Standard Black Section from an early production pen - the clip is recessed in the tassie and not fitted into a cut out on the top of the barrel.

Any other different colored sections out there?

This photo includes a 14k Solid Gold, Smooth polished smooth brass which looks like Gold and a Treasure Gold BP.

The smooth brass 75 has moved to a new home and in another photo above.

I only have the one 75 - it's a silver cisele, I've not dated it accurately.

If there's a way to clean up the nib collar (or replace it?) advice would be appreciated.

I bought it from a charity shop, and it's nearly complete - it's missing the nib adjustment tool.

I'd never seen one with a different coloured section, looks really nice.

I find the design of the Parker 75 with the conical nib in the Cisele finish to be the most beautiful and classy Parker pen of all time.

Thankfully I have one to look at whenever I want. As a bonus, it also writes well.
