Fend?

Helps to see the rest of the pen...that way it can be dated easier. The country can be picked.

Second thought.......The top looks more early '30's....after Sheafer's New Balance took over from the flat tops. Is it a lever pen?

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

I really can't help you...It is a very pretty pen.

I don't have any of the '20's German Lever pens. Soennecken, Kaweco, and MB were dragged kicking and screaming from lever pens into Pelikan's piston age.

My only lever pens now are couple Esterbrooks and a couple later Wearevers.

Based on similar pens I've seen and worked on - mostly from the 30s to the 50s - I would guess it is a third tier "generic" pen of some sort. I'm not sure there's any way to narrow it down, but others on this forum will certainly be more knowledgeable than me.

@AZPenGuy... yeah, I was sure it was a third-tier job... Pretty, though, and not in bad shape. Has a Warranted 14K nib, anyway. I'm sure it isn't a flexie, but that's okay... they can't all be! I just like to be able to tell people who ask when it was made and who made it. "F" is not a lot to go on; pretty tough to frame a decent search with. I'm googling "vintage fountain pen pocket clips" and slogging through them, viewing anything that looks like it might be close! MIght provide a lead to chase.

Don't forget to look through the "Known Pen Brands" threads pinned in some of the forums, such as this one and "USA - North America". Besides the immediate alphabetical listings, there are additions and corrections deeper in the threads.

The clip and the plastic look like Parker Parkette from the mid 30's but the band and flat bottom are different. The "F" could have been a personalization.

Looking for a black SJ Transitional Esterbrook Pen. (It's smaller than an sj)

A lot of 3rd-tier pens were rebranded for local chain stores, stationers, etc....

The decorations look pretty typical of 30s-era Arnold pens, and they did manufacture for a lot of re-branders, but it might be hard to know for sure unless you can find another pen with exactly the same appointments.

Warranted nibs can be quite good. Cleaned up that pen might turn out to be a real peach.
