How Much To Stockpile Of Your Favorites?

Taking stock of the unopened bottles of ink that live under the spare bed:

There is one bottle of ink among these which is not unopened but rebottled, because what Amazon delivered to me came with a cracked lid and leaked in transit. I got a full refund, but was able to salvage more than half of the contents of the bottle.

Altogether, this would account for roughly 95% of my unopened bottled ink, in colours of which I also have opened bottles in use.

 

Yet more is expected in the post (and is unduly delayed at the moment).

I just dump ink.

Even pens sometimes specially chinese stuff.

Then often i buy them again. Then dump again.

My Way of getting vaccinated.

Me too @PAKMAN  - sold all my Penman inks at high prices and found other brands/colours I now happily use. I have a few drops of Penman Sapphire left but I won't miss it when it's gone - there's a lot of choice out there when it comes to blue ink!

Probably two for inks is my way. For Sailor Jentle Grenade and Sky High, that's about it. 

 

For paper? I stocked up over a dozen Old Tomoe River 450+ page notebooks before I just couldn't get myself to buy another. There have been several discontinued inks, papers, manufacturers etc since I started this life path, and after TR I've come to accept that this whole thing we love is a temporary thing. So niche, so loved by so few that it's a miracle any of us have what we have. I've fully prepared to see more faves go the way of the mastodon, and in a way I'm OK with that. It just gets tiring for me to keep trying to keep up with what's on its way out. I'd rather just ink up and use the paper. As long as I've got Midori, I'll get by. It just won't be as fun, will it. 

 

So two is the answer now. Until then I'll enjoy every minute.  

 

Gosh there is a hardcover pocket notebook by Life that is they discontinued and that still kills. I should have bought a million. Only got the one.
