My Wildflower Books

perfectly natural to ask these questions - neither you nor I knew the reason for 320 pages - and it turns out the op simply has a liking for the even number 20 :D - nothing more nor less than that.

Flat back case bound books, as shown here and sewn without tapes, are not beyond the abilities of many people - perhaps though bookbinding is seen as old fashioned and too time consuming.

Obviously the more sections, the thicker the book becomes - and books that are too thick become difficult to manage and work, though having a flat spine simplifies the process and keeps things less complicated. Blank notebooks are a wonderful start to binding, and if a mistake is made then at the worst you have wasted only blank paper.

It's when the binder wishes to 'round and back' a book that things become more complicated - especially when re-binding an existing book, and if you've paid good money to buy the book in the first place then mistakes can be costly.

We're looking forward to seeing some books from Noihvo showing curved spines, sewn endbands and gilded edges :D
