What's Your Most Recent Mb Purchase? 2019 Edition

No sure if I shared this here or not.

My husband was visiting my daughter for a couple of weeks. Together, they purchased the MB 146 Unicef for me for Valentine's Day along with the matching ink and some MB Irish Green as well. I was so surprised! And yes, I feel loved.

While I love the medium nib (the broadest nib that the boutique had), I guess I need to figure out how to get a OB for it.

As long as youre within the time period (6weeks I think) Id purchase you can take it to your local boutique and have them send it off for a free nib exchange.

Or you can send it off directly and have it done, Ive always done mine though the boutique.

Yes, an old username, had a couple of R35's. The case was made by Venlo:

They were great to deal with and customised it for what I wanted. Highly recommend them.

Coincidence, I was looking at the Venlo website 2 weeks ago for something to house my watch (and future watch collection).

Montblanc Masters of Meisterstück Purdey & Sons

It is great to feel this hand crafted piece, Masters of Meisterstück is a whole new experience of the brand. Third from the left on the family Montblanc photo.

Started this year with two 149s.

One in Medium (currently being repaired at MB due to hard starts)

One in Broad.

Loving the Broad so far, the MB boutique allowed me to inspect the nib with a magnifying lens and choose whichever I wanted. I’m suprised at how stubby and smooth the Broad nib is! I still love my Medium nibs though :P

Finally I decided to pick up blue hour to be my first 149 skeleton.

Congratulations! That is a gorgeous pen. Did you purchase it at T.Y. Lee's or at the Montblanc boutique in Taipei? I love T.Y. Lee's and try to go everytime I am in Taipei.

Pardon my ignorance, John. Is this Purdey & Sons the gun smiths/makers?

Did they make this line of Montblanc's?

That’s a start to artisan road.

No, I bought in another place unexpectedly when I took a trip.

Montblanc has started a series of pens to honor makers of items of fine craftsmanship.

Hey yes it is that Purdey & Sons indeed. Never had the pleasure of shooting with a Purdey but have a Francotte side by side.
