Those are great ink box images!

I like the sharp focus on the boxes.

The Kipling ink is lovely...but you don't need my advice about stocking up on that.

Thank you Tom. I was surprised MB went yellow 2 years in a row for the Zodiac ink, and I thought it might be helpful for people to see the comparison (at least the boc color).

As for the Kipling, I had forgotten I had ordered a bottle in an earlier, long delayed shipment. A happy surprise to find it there along with a bonus Year of the Pig from Appelboom for ordering on Fountain Pen Day.

I passed on this year's Montblanc Lucky Yellow as it writes a bit too light to be useful for me.

However, Montblanc Charm Yellow for next year's Lunar Year of the Rat is an excellent ink.

That's lovely to receive a bonus ink for ordering on Fountain Pen Day. Congratulations!

As may be well known to most, there's considerable severe turbulence and instability in Hong Kong at present.

I work literally across the street on the 35th floor of a residential tower which faces the Futian Checkpoint Gate.

My students are all from Hong Kong. Several texted me last night, suggesting that I “write with any lucky pens and inks” due to the turmoil here.

Maybe it's time to reconsider Lucky Yellow?

Enjoy your ink trove!

I ordered a 149 Platinum with a Fine nib (it will be my second 149) from Appelboom. Happy Fountain pen day! :)

In August I bought the same pen, I am very pleased. I hope you will enjoy it a lot.

Thank you! Happy to hear that you like it. :) Mine is somewhere in the Netherlands, the package has not been shipped yet... It will be a nice pre-Christmas gift. :)

Zaddick,

Did you tell your wife that the animal inks where for your son? : )

You have to get them into the hobby early.

Regards,

David

A recent promotion gift to myself (or at least how I justified it to my wife...)

Chris...

Nice pen. How is the weight? Is it heavier than a 149?

Is it possible for you to post a picture without the cap on (I wish I had a boutique near me).

Regards,

David

I'm just starting to dip my toes into MB's but I just received my FP day / Birthday gift to my self, a MB Boheme Tester in OBB.

I really like those Bohemes without stones... I was fortunate to find, now several years ago, a big size Boheme (they had no stones) that I appreciate a lot.
