Fear not Tom, I have also added some red and green to my life. It's not a sad blue, and with new pens on the way it's not even a streak of expletives. :)

I am long overdue to email you. Expect one soon.

Love the pen, love the image.

The profile of your Prince Regent 4810 limited edition is what I like.

The excellent images bring out both shape and color.

May that lovely pen be a cherished writer.

I just received my 149 from the mid 1950s, with the 2nd generation ebonite feed, telescoping filler and the the 2 silver rings.

Its wonderful. I inked it up and have been writing with it for a while.

Enjoy it for years to come. The celluloid pens have a different feel and balance that is unique among 149s.

Hi Guys.

Purchased a used Montblanc 146 this week. Seller indicated that it was in "pristine" condition and that it came with all paperwork and the original box.

After receiving and inspecting it, I agreed with the Sellers' description as applicable to the external condition. However, the piston was nearly impossible to move due to lack of lubrication.

I disassembled this morning and sorted this out. There was a layer of old and gummed grease in the body as well as on the piston assembly.

Eventually got this all removed and the whole pen cleaned up and lubricated again.

Now it is in "pristine" condition... Heh Heh...

A few before and after pics below. Nib is medium and ink is Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo. Paper is unfortunately just old cheapo copy paper.

Your incredible photos of a striking pen are making me rue the fact that I didn't buy the Shaw when I had the chance. (is there a crying emoji?).

Enjoy your new pen!

Stunning photos off the Shaw! I passed on one at the DC Pen Show yesterday (no box or papers). But, the photos are making me rue, a bit, not closing the deal.

Montblanc's marketing department owes you!

Such superb images enhance an already lovely model.

Thank you for posting such high standard photographs.

They brighten my morning in East Asia.

Thank you for all of your nice comments. To me it seems that the Shaw is (still) under-appreciated and therefore prices are not too high and it is relatively easily to find.

Really nice pen! The design and form is closed to the Cervantes and the both are really nice. In green the result is beautiful!

Yes! Technically they have a lot in common. Plated metal rings and marbled lacquer. Holding them in hand side by side the Cervantes appears more traditionally styled and smaller while the Shaw has a very modern design and is big.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'll try to keep up :-)

Finally I decided to pick up blue hour to be my first 149 skeleton.

I cannot help but comment on the Blue Hour Skeleton each time I see it; it's such a beautiful pen. Congrats mjchuang9!

Another gap was closed last Saturday:

This is one of my grail MBs! Congratulations on closing a gap with a truly mesmerizing pen Michael.

Finally arrived back from customization by Brad Torelli. Maybe I'll call it Hemi Noir?

I love this Hemi Noir Zaddick! Hopefully the folks at MB are inspired and offer a similar creation in the near future :)

Bought my grail pen. 2017 Montblanc Writers Edition Antoine Saint-Exupery Limited Edition

Congratulations on getting your grail pen Warhammer57!

Bought a pen I've wanted since childhood.

Lucked out and got a NOS one at a price I could afford.

I particularly enjoy the knurled details

I also love the hourglass-shaped section, reminiscent of older MBs.

It has a fine-ish Medium nib. Considering a nib swap to a broader nib, but I dip-tested it and it feels great.

Overjoyed with this purchase :) can't stop looking at it!

Have a good Sunday!

It's crazy to think how long ago these WE pens came out and that we've been dreaming of them since childhood! I was the same with the Proust pen, so it was the first major pen purchase I saved up for as an adult. Congratulations on securing the Agatha geodesigner! Your photos really bring out the essence of the pen.
