Very nice. I have that very same pen, in the same nib width. I bought it as part of a bundling deal from a vendor at the Baltimore Pen Show. It gives me great pleasure and is used regularly.

My wish is that you enjoy your new pen as much as I enjoy mine.

New to me nib.

M800 BB it has great variation.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Hello,

Here’s one I got recently:

a mint 1935 Pelikan 100, M nib, never or hardly ever inked-

Oh my, so very beautiful. Such a rare find in that condition.

Is the plan to put it into use?

That is a beautiful classic pen with a lovely nib. What ink are You using? I am currently on the hunt for a new dark green.

Thanks for the compliment. Thanks for your question, @N1003U.

I’m somhow reluctant about putting such a preserved, unused pen into use. I’ll possibly keep it as such…

I’m using few other vintage pens already inked, all of them great writers, none such being made nowadays.

One of my favorites is this “dark tortoise” 101N, with a rare ST nib.

I’ve been looking for this pen for some time, M620 Berlin, which came with a BB nib, just like my M600 Green O’ Green had, and which I had modified to a stub. The Berlin is a much brighter green than the picture comparing the two pens suggests.

I bought a Berlin not long after they were released, and it's one of the best-looking of the Cities series.  Mine has a slightly regular BB, bought at the same time.  I liked it so much, I bought the matching ballpoint, even though ballpoint use for me was rare then (and nearly never now).

I'm sad that I didn't have money to buy more in the Cities series at the original prices.. Even though I'd love a Grand Place, Place de la Concorde, Madrid, and Shanghai, they've been too expensive to casually collect for a long time now.

Also a very lovely pen.

I understand the reluctance to use such a classic, vintage pen in such pristine condition. Do you know anything about the history of the pen? While it clearly has not seen a lot of use over the years, it would be interesting to know how such a lovely specimen has survived all these years unscathed.

AFAIK, left laying indoors in a vault, and forgotten for decades.

I believe I’ve posted this already, since I’ve found the picture among my FPN attachments:

I keep drooling over the M620 Piccadilly Circus (and to some extent the M620 Athens).  Then look at the prices....  :crybaby:

  • 2 weeks later...

I picked up this Green /Green Striped Pelikan 140C recently.  When purchased, it was advertised as a 400, which it resembled in the pictures, although the cap dome and piston knob didn’t fit for a 400 or 400NN.  Once I had it in hand and had a chance to inspect it more carefully, I found engraving on the barrel that confirmed it as a 140C.  Slightly smaller than my 400’s, the condition is mint, with beautiful color.large.271946469_Pelikan400GreenGreenstripe1.jpg.7f51b04223a780282a9818f745ad7485.jpglarge.438800695_Pelikan400GreenGreenstripe2.jpg.a76f97c8651fc4a6e940a4b0d88efc11.jpglarge.692217281_Pelikan400GreenGreenstripe3.jpg.6d338e463f23f85b4877db3c20a2037e.jpglarge.1056455825_Pelikan400GreenGreenstripe4.jpg.c5d3183487ae2f0695ce97017b46ca56.jpglarge.1983072051_Pelikan400GreenGreenstripe5.jpg.4138b6acadab84f89c357452cb15bc1f.jpglarge.438725650_Pelikan400GreenGreenstripe6.jpg.93f02ee001099f3bdeedc75c9a3cef0f.jpglarge.263663340_Pelikan400GreenGreenstripe8.jpg.a5b3b0cb78d0dfb24d88e2409f8da407.jpglarge.2001441008_Pelikan400GreenGreenstripe9.jpg.777b6e851b2629dd001b2648f00902e0.jpg
