Thank you for the photo with a terrific handwriting sample.

That's a lovely nib on a great pen.

I agree: lovely pen and terrific handwriting.

Also you have confirmed that the high place of the Stresemann 605 on my upcoming purchases list is deserved.

Great nib David... did I miss you telling who did it? And yes, that question indicates I'm too lazy to page back to see

I taken all three last Saturday at the 2020 Napoli penshow. The Balance is an OS model, and in the middle there is a gray PFM III.

I am pretty sure (but not positive) the BB nib was ground by Michael Masuyama.

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to add this one to my flock. In fact, I'm not sure that I've ever come upon one for sale in the wild. Pelikan Hunting LE, form 1984. This was the first of the Pelikan M800 LEs to use the Toledo style engraving. In this case it's a hunting scene, with a big buck followed by a hound. Sterling silver with green lacquer and green resin trim. I not only found this one in the wild, but got a great deal on it- roughly 1/2 its original purchase price. So I'm a pretty happy camper.

Vicary, that is gorgeous, and your pictures are wonderful. It's been awhile since I saw one... very jealous

That is an absolutely stunning pen that I’ve coveted for a while. I seem to recall reading that the green laquer can come off, so either my memory is faulty or you may want to baby it.

Awesome pen, one of my favorites. True story about the laquer. I wrote about it here; https://thepelikansperch.com/2016/06/22/pelikan-m915-hunting-issues/

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

Just impulsively got a plain black M205 with a F nib on Amazon for a good price, and then an M205 BB nib ground to a stub by John Mottishaw! Eagerly awaiting the arrival, I requested a very wet nib so that'll be nice.

I'd had several very bad days in a row, fighting with technology. We'd have several go rounds with trying to get the house line to work correctly when it got switched to VoIP last summer. For the past several weeks we've been unable to call out. And calls in? Calls don't show the caller ID for all calls (but invariably for the obvious spam calls). And if we get multiple calls from the same number only the most recent call will continue to be shown (and no, it isn't because they've been pushed out the back of the system).

Then yesterday, it was the computer. I've spent most of Monday afternoon and many hours today dealing with various issues. Problems with spreadsheet formatting, problems logging onto the support website -- and then discovering that the password reset was for my PHONE. Which is a different account. NOBODY at Apple has a clue as to how that happened, BTW.... Then last night it was the mail system (which ended up predicating YET ANOTHER password reset. And Saturday, I had tried texting my husband and the text apparently went to his work number (a landline) and not to his cell phone. It's been a complete nightmare. So by then by nearly dinner time I was a complete wreck. Then I got a notice from eBay. The seller of a pen I had been watching sent out a "here's a deal for you" notice. I did a little checking around, after my husband agreed I could get it, and while the seller did not have 100% positive feedback, he seemed to make good when there were problems (and those were for other types of items). I did check some online sellers as well, but could not find a price to match. So I contacted the seller to clarify what he'd said (which didn't match what the photos showed). And he admitted the error. And, as my husband said, it wasn't going to be a dealbreaker. So I hit the "Accept this offer" button. And in about a week, a brand new M600 Violet and White is going to be mine (the clarification I requested was that the pen was listed as being an F nib and the photos clearly showed the box end and the tag showed it as EF -- but I've been really happy with the EF nib on my M405 Striated Blue).

After the past several days being mostly completely horrible, I'm now almost giddy. IT's still going to be one of my most expensive pens, but the price break was too good to pass up on.
