Ha, Hamlet, like Yubi, shows no interest in pens. But he doesn't stay put with a pen to let me to take a picture... too many things to discover. :)

Now, unlike Yubi, Hamlet has a fascination for Tomoe River, Rhodia... Well, to be honest, any kind of paper will do :P .

How about Theo? We need a picture of him holding a bird!

Ha Ha!

Theo has his first modelling assignment for 2020.

You guys... I'll have to see what Theo does with a pen first, then we'll see if he holds still long enough to get a picture. But, just so you don't think I'm trying to skip out on an assignment, I DO have a picture of Theo's predecessor Rocco with a pretty nice pen, from 2016.

Rocco was a goodgood boy, and he knew he wasn't supposed to touch the pens, thus the anxious look on his face... he was worried he might be in trouble.

Rocco looks like a super-good dog!

What a superb photo.

If Theo comes anywhere near matching that, he'll have done very well.

Thank you for posting it.

My latest additions. I had sworn not to get into this rabbit hole... (sorry for the "old" frame, I couldn't resist :P ).

The top one, with a delightful B nib, will need new seals, and I believe the cap is not original since it seems to be celluloid (fortunately, I have a good hard rubber spare).

The bottom was and early Valentines gift from my wife  and it is in perfect working order, with a fantastic OM nib (that writes as OB). Already inked and writing beautifully.

Drool.

I keep looking at the old pens like those. But then looking at the price tag, sighing heavily, and walking away....

As if ink matching with pens was not enough, we now have dog matching!

P.S. Handsome pen ... and dog. Good match!

OMG Puppies! I could look at dog pictures all day, especially yours as Rocco's a cutie.

Very nice pen, too. M620 Grand Palace?

I have a pre-1949 Ibis on the way. I have been looking for one for quite a while.

I think it as a post-'49 cap but that's not a problem; I have the proper cap!

But, I think that is the M800 GP, not the M620 (since the piston knob is black).

Ruth, patience is the name of the game! :)

They cost about the same as a M200 each.

Right. And, since we are being picky precise, the model name is "Grande Place" not "Grand Palace." It is named after the old central square of Brussels.

I have both the M620 and the M800 versions. I'm rather fond of them both.

Happy writing!

For some reason "Grand Place" goes in my ears and then comes out of my mouth out as "Grand Palace." No idea why.

And I have a M620, but don't think I've ever seen the M800 version in person. I wonder why it's not a M820?

Anyway, wrong on both counts? Guess this means I have to hand in my FPN membership. The shame!

Here there is my latest Pelikan, a transparent blue M250:

Alfredo

Really nice, I've come across this model a few times and had a really hard time not bidding on it; in spite of disliking gold trim, that and the green demonstrator works really well to my eyes.

I came home yesterday with one MK10 green black, in perfect working condition, it was (is) even inked with an unknown blue-black.

It was found in a very small antiques shop in nowadays very touristy pedestrian street, downtown.

To my surprise, the owner is an old acquaintance from mid 80s, former theater photographer.

He got the pen recently in trade for some other item. Previous owner just pulled it from the pocket, scribbled with it to show it was functional and offered a trade.

Since MK10 black was my second school fountain pen, used for about 10 years, and is in much worse condition than this, it just felt right to bring it home!
