EF M100 finally got here, the seller sent it promptly but then it got lost in transit as a friend tried to send it to me... For ten months. The second surprise is that it's in perfect shape, I thought it was a little banged up and rusty. Really good looking, sober pen, and it makes Vert Empire come out lighter, which was my original goal.

I had been searching for a long time to get one of these: a first generation West German M800 with a fine 14c nib:

Congrats Carlos. I've been thinking of hunting down one of these 14c nibs and adding flex to it; let us know how it writes

That blue marble is beautiful Nyanzilla

Thanks for your kind words Bill. Pelikan pens and inks can be quite addictive, as many here can attest...

I might have ruined myself. The first Pelikan I got was an M1000 with a fine nib. I tried the M800, but found it smooth, but boringlike a nice Mercedes. I like the bouncy/squishy nib on the 1000. What other Pelikans might I try next?

@SenZen: can you please explain this: <...the seller sent it promptly but then it got lost in transit as a friend tried to send it to me...>?

If you can handle their smaller (compared to the M1000) size, the vintage M400's sometimes have flexy nibs. Others can point you to the right generations or models to seek out...

Beautiful. I have a fine M1000. If you do as well, how do you find the EF in relation to it?

I'll keep a look out for one. I saw one for sale recently at the Fountain Pen hospital. But it got scooped up before I could come back for it.

I sent it to a friend in LA, he then resent it along with a lot of other stuff to another friend, but it got stuck in transit and no one had time to sort it out; eventually it got back to him and he was able to send it along...

My other Pelikans all have fine nibs, although my 18k m600 writes a little chunky, here's a comparison.

I'd really like an EF Pelikan in an m600/m800 size, unfortunately I have a very clear budget limit which is way below their price. Coming from an m1000 I'm sure the m100 would feel tiny, but it's only slightly smaller than the m205s.

Just won an auction for a 400NN earlier today. Will post a picture later.

Present collection, none.

You will have go vintage and adjust to a drop in girth and heft, since the M100x is the largest.
