@PAKMAN -- That sure is a gorgeous pen!  Don't suppose that they'll bring it out in a few years in a smaller size....  Although one can always hope -- they DID bring out the M405 Stresemann a couple of years after releasing the M805 size -- and I actually could AFFORD one....

Congratulation, how does it write?

Really is a stunning pen. Assume the writing experience is on par with the looks. Congratulations.

Congratulations! The way the marbling reflects light is utterly stunning. I love the warm tones of the brown and gold.

My pen was shipped this morning from Appelboom. I ordered a fine cursive italic!

It’s a very beautiful pen, although not as “extremely rare” as described. These high quality model pens have been mass produced for 6 years and quite a few of them have survived 70+ years in good condition. Export models were not only made for the Italian market.

The really rare among them are those of the first three month production series with friction-fit nib units. I’ve only had one in my hands.

Highly appreciated are also the first two or three years production pens with script nibs and Pelikan Günther Wagner designation on the barrel (not on the cap ring), which your model seems to be. Congrats!

Thanks, the pen arrived and it seems to be in reasonably good shape, if not "probably never used". Nib is marked HM. I recently bought MV Moonstone which I only tried with a dip pen to get a feel for the color; I may try it in this.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Not sure if I mentioned here that I got an M600 Vibrant Orange. A little disappointed with it, though, it's pretty enough but has two bright sparkly strips separated by two duller ones; fortunately the cap and barrel line up fairly well.

The other arrival is  an M600 Gaudi Cambon and it is absolutely spectacular; more than makes up for any recent disappointments. Ended up with an F as seller here in the States. Probably going to ink it with the MB Klimpt Blue that arrived a few days prior.

The pen you are talking about is the M600 Glauko Cambon.

There is an M800 Spirit of Gaudi, but that´s a different pen.

They are both rather spectacular.

Today arrived my latest (and rather impulsive) purchase:

The green striped Pelikan 400 with green cap, section and piston knob. I have heard this pen being dubbed the Sea Green. It has a friction fit nib and thus has to be a very early specimen.

As a little extra it comes with a box, a vintage BBB nib (in addition to the original M nib) and a second corpus (binde with section, also friction fit) from a salesman version of this pen, sporting the inscription "UNVERKÄUFLICH" (= unsaleable) on the binde and a tiny splint in the section (there is only a dot visible) holding the nib unit. These salesman versions were designed to be able to show the pen to pen shop owners. How it can be filled and emptied, if you dipped it in some ink also how it writes. BUT: if you filled it and tried to write, all you got was an inky mess. This made sure those pens wouldn´t be sold underhand.

As for the pictures, the green of the cap, section and piston knob is extremely hard to catch. But I managed to get a shot of the cap beside the cap of a black M800, and that picture makes the difference in colour really clear.

WOW!  Nice find!  I didn't know that the earlier pens came with caps in anything OTHER than with black caps.

Is the piston knob also green?  It's hard to tell from the photos.
