This pen was advertised as a Jelik an, so I was lucky enough to pick it up for just under a tenner.

It appears to be an early 140. Has no markings on the cap or cap band and has the legend 'Export' & 'Gunther Wagner Pelikan' around the bottom of the barrel with EF on the plunder cap. It was missing a clip so I have put a generic clip on it for now.

Wonderful. You might need to buy a lottery ticket today!

@roshpens, I like the special medallion of Blue Ocean!

Please visit my website Modern Pelikan Pens for the latest information. It is updating and correcting original articles posted in "Dating Pelikan fountain Pen".

Yes, those finer details made the first Pelikan limited edition pretty special.

Beautiful @roshpens. And I love the color coordinated inks.

Thank you ! Now, I put some effort in matching inks to the barrel. I think a color palette 🎨 coordinated theme works well.

Like my red-striped M400, the post-'97 muted blue marble M200, languishing in storage since its purchase, has emerged to join the flock, due to the new Edelstein Lapis Gold I ordered from Cult along with the EF M400 nib. It's a lovely pen, more attractive than the green marble; the pattern is nicer and the barrel is shinier, too, from not having been handled.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

LOVE that!  Where did you get it?  Because now I WANT one!  (I got an enameled pin that I think is about the same size at a table at the B/W show in March, but the clip is pretty generic -- not looking like a "Pelikan" clip.

And of course I need a "pen" pin for the band on my summer hat....

@DilettanteGYes, they have become rare. Sigh! I typically swap between pens.
