For Christmas I was gifted a Pelikan 200 Petrol. I'm really enjoying it!

Hello, Everybody.

This is a 1950 400, not in perfect cosmetic condition (someone must have kept in a pawn-shop window posted for years), but it is worth restoring.

However, there’s a problem I haven’t come across before:

The friction-fit collar is missing and someone must have put a regular collar which is some 0.2mm narrower and therefore too loose. Does someone have an idea where I may get/order this spare part?

Thanks in advance.

@stoen On which continent

Thanks, @carola. Any, I guess.

There are options, I dare say.

One can measure the slot and engineer and mill a piece of ebonite, or try eith 3d printing. Most elegant however would be to get a genuine part, though.

I have a grey-striped 400 (circa '50-'56) on the way.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

@stoen: if you have no joy with that contact, I am fairly certain that you can get the part from ProtoPens ($6).

I beg your pardon, @Black Spot?

Thanks.

That's on me. He knows I like to do business with Wiener Füllfeder Werkstätte and that the owner is my go to repair guy. So he didn't have to use his psychic abilities THAT much to deduce I would recommend WFW. 😉

Ugh, duplicate post, website connection was dropping and then it decided to suddenly upload the post, every attempt…

I don’t have a flock, only the two, which may or may not turn out to be a breeding pair…

The M605 green, which I ordered yesterday (thank you so much @cultpens for your amazing customer service and fast delivery!) and the M400 white tortoiseshell which I received as a gift Christmas 2023.

The green is gorgeous, I love it. I’m not fond of very traditional pen styles (which is how I personally think of the usual dark Pelikans and similar pens) and dark colours. These two pens are probably the ultimate Pelikan styles for me.

Here are the M600/K600 Red White 2023 SE that arrived this past week.

The M600 was advertised as an M but turned out to be a B. :(

No problemo, I thought, I just happen to have an M from my red-striped M400 which I replaced with an EF.

Pen refused to write with the M. :yikes: I put the B back in and it writes fine with that. Very strange.

I've inked it with Golden Beryl so that looks ok with the slightly thicker line. I have a red gel refill in the K600.

ETA: That's the Levenger pen holder I found on ebay a couple months back.

@chromantic That red is beautiful!

Thanks, it is rather nice, isn't it. After the Gold M200, I swore I'd never buy another white one but then I caved and got the M400 White Tortoise and now here we are. ;)
