This is a eye-dropper c. 1908 gold filled mod. 0314.

 

 

 

 

0314 ? ... No, ... the "03xx" only had the overlay on the barrel.

Sorry to insist as well (... ;) ...) : the imprint might be "0314" on the body, but the cap might have been changed.

The "3" number on the hundred colone does indicate an half mounted pen (with only the overlay on the barrel).

 

 

Here is an extract of the 1908 Waterman catalog, page 16, with a clear example explaining what an "0324" model is :

The secret life of the fountain pens; yes, the cap might have been changed, or the barrel might have been changed... or perhaps, since we do not know at what price they sold it, at that time they could have been short of stock 051X barrels and it came out like that from the factory or store. But yes, this particular barrel imprint paired with this overlay cap does not fit with the numerical structure known of cataloged models.
