What Pen Are You Waiting For 2019

Ordered the new gold marbled and brown marbled M200s from Appelboom last night. Both with F nibs and both currently out of stock but expected to ship at the end of next week.

Was debating over the brown but figured better to pay the $29 shipping for both than for each if I waited and ordered the brown later. Turns out the combined amount qualified me for free shipping. Booyah!

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I just ordered a Leonardo Momento Zero Abyss celluloid piston-filler with a gold nib, even though I thought I was done with Leonardo after the first of its pens I bought. The effective price was good, so I think I'll give the brand one more go.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

A multicolor Parker Vector, still in the original blister pack. My best offer to the eBay seller was accepted in about an hour after I made it. Already have the USPS tracking number, although no info besides that. I had given the seller 2 days because I figured that with the holiday weekend they might not see the offer right away, but it got accepted right away.

It's actually part of my Christmas present (the other part being an interesting sounding book, again off of eBay -- the seller sent a message for a private offer for about twenty bucks off, and I decided to accept it.

The pen is coming from Minnesota. Ironically, depending on which route we take home, I could very easily go past the seller's B&M store without going too far out of the way (the seller is a little west of Wilkes-Barre, PA).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Moonman M600S... sounds good on FPN... I like the look of that brown one... no browns left on ebay... camo colour looks fun in a Eugene Tackleberry kind of way... Oh...

It's blinding. It's lurid. It looks like ink spilled over broken eggs.

It's on it's way.

I've got (...) a no-name pen with a Warranted music nib should show up next week.

Hi,

very interesting - how does it write and look?

Then I should stop.

Really.

Ha!

Best wishes

Jens

A Sailor King of Pen Urushi in green with a medium gold nib. I had put in an order for whichever color, blue or green, came in first, and the green came in today.

A UK seller finally got in the 2019 Plaisir, just in time for 2020! Means I don't have to send off to Goulet for a cheap beginner's pen, although now I don't get to put a bottle of Whaleman's Sepia in the order either...

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)
