I was waiting for four things that arrived while I was traveling and received all at once in my mailbox yesterday:

1. A new nib and section for my Natami Inception that arrived broken last month.

2. Moonman M600S in Sky Blue.

3. Moonman S1 in Purple.

4. PenBBS 480 "Amber is a Cat".

I did a brief unboxing video and will do some individual videos once I have used each of them for a few days.

  • 2 weeks later...

A Kaweco Skyline Sport Turquoise demonstrator. Color reminds me of the old glass Coke bottles (more blue-ish, of course) but I'm thinking GvFC Deep Sea Green will go nicely with it.

Then, I splurged and bought a black Liliput EF.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Five Nemosine Singularity pens, thanks to a post here alerting us that Singularity pens were on Nemosine’s website. I am going to miss Nemosine.

Submitted order for the Pelikan M205 Star Ruby... I was flip-flopping on XF or Italic. Fahrney's had the italic offer, I had the 10% September code for Pen Chalet, so finally went with the XF.

With the ink bottle...

Pilot Vanishing Point / Capless in Yellow with Fine 18K nib. Dream pen for a long time.

I ordered a Pilot Custom 742 with a stub nib from Japan. So I'll have to wait a little for the delivery.

Waterman Laureat Rollerball. I have a new ballpoint refill ready for it. The ballpoint refills fit in these rollers.

A deal on massdrop for a tactile turn gist in solid copper with a steel EF nib for $100 even. Couldn't pass it up. Also ordered a section to convert it to use pilot g2 rollerballs just in case.

Waiting on a 3776 in EF, a new section for my UEF (Bryce at luxury pen initially asked $50 for a new section because the pen was out of warranty but is doing me a favor and giving it to me for just shipping) and a black 3776 music nib. The prices for 3776's has been skyrocketing, I figured I should get the nibs I want before they're all over $200.

And waiting on the warrantied japanese vintage eyedropper from wancher to come back. I was amazed at how quick the turnaround time was. Wancher is REALLY honoring the warranty of the vintage pens, even refunding me shipping, which has already cost them 15% of what the pen cost.

I am going to be asking for a wancher dream pen in the red/black urushi for graduation. They've just impressed me so much with taking care of me as a customer and restoring my vintage eyedropper for free (it's taking a long time but I'm plenty patient.)

Ooohh....how vintage? Is it vintage enough that the nib is actually an oblique stub?

I've collected several of those are they are amazing once you get the hang of rotating the pen.

It's from the 1950s and from the picture of the seller it does look quite oblique.

I'm a novice at oblique nibs, so I'll ask in the forum if I need help in understanding how to hold it properly. Please keep an eye out for my request for help. XD

I didn't know the 3776's were going up in price. I'm targeting a Sailor 1911 Large Stormy Sea for Christmas now instead of a Visconti HS Bronze...but maybe I should consider that Platinum 3776 in Chartres Blue I was eyeballing awhile back...hmmm.

Congrats on the restoration being finished! I hope you'll do a standalone thread with pics reviewing their work when it arrives!

Like chromantic

I ordered the Goldspot & Kaweco only Sport Skyline in turquoise. It looks more green, which would be fine with me. Also got what they call aubergine and sepia Kaweco cartridges, because the converter I wanted was out of stock. That way I did not feel so bad paying $4.95 shipping.

At Goldspot the bottled ink names don’t seem to match the cartridges. For Palm Green GS has green, for caramel brown GS has sepia, and for Summer Purple they had aubergine which was called a lavender color in the description. Should be interesting to see how they are labeled when they arrive.

I didn't know the 3776's were going up in price.

The gold-trimmed 'basic' translucent resin versions (Black in Black, Bourgogne and Chartres Blue) of the Platinum #3776 Century went up in price in the Japanese domestic market, around the time the Laurel Green and Chenonceau White versions were introduced. Cosmetic changes were made to the design ('notably' on the cap ring) of those three versions, and the MSRP for those pens in the revised design is set at ¥13,000 in line with the green and the white versions.

The prices of the landmark-themed Platinum #3776 Century limited editions that Platinum introduces year after year have been going up in price between editions , but the MSRP of previously-released special editions did not increase after their initial release. the MSRP for Yamanaka (released 2015) was ¥20,000+tax; Kawaguchi (2016), Shungyo (2017)[/url] and Kumpoo (2018) were ¥25,000+tax, and Rokka (2019) is ¥30,000+tax. That's just inflation, or not even that: as far as I'm aware, the Oshino and the Platinum #3776 Century models in the Nice line have not increased in price officially since their release.

The prices of rhodium-trimmed Platinum #3776 Century models in translucent black ('Black Diamond') and blue ('Chartres Blue') resins have not changed, as far as I know.

Platinum #3776 Celluloid models previously released at ¥30,000+tax without the 'Century' qualification were 'upgraded' some time ago to models of the same materials but now bearing the 'Century' qualification, and the prices of those were set at ¥35,000+tax.

I have no idea how any of that may have affected pricing in or Europe or North America after the regional distributor effect; that is not the frame of reference I use as an Australian consumer, either trying to get as close to the source as possible or staying as close to home as possible.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Today I was away from home only in the 45 minute period in which delivery of two pens was attempted. I may be able to pick them up in a couple of days. So, officially I am waiting on two Santini Italia, one a unique mimetic blue, styled somewhat like my Ancora Perla, and the other a Lava in Forest Green. From photos the latter looks gorgeous so I am keen to see whether it fulfils that expectation.
