What Pen Are You Waiting For 2019

Over the weekend, I won an auction for a vintage (piston-filler) Kaweco Sport with 14k gold nib (looks like an M; auction didn't specify). Hopefully, it will soon be on its way to me from Hungary.

I have a vintage Kaweco Sport now but mine has a steel nib. Looking forward to the 14k experience.

I am waiting for a PenBBS 308 in Cedar and a Moonman M600 brown checkerboard acrylic.

The eBay seller informed me the "cedar" finish PenBBS 308 was out of stock (even though the listing showed "four in stock" when I ordered).

So I got a refund and bought the milky white finish with gold trim from PenBBS directly.

My Moonman M600 arrived today. I ordered from Bobby's Etsy store and he threw in a lovely felt pen sleeve with a button snap opening as well as an extra nib; a Fuliwen medium. The Schmidt nib wrote extremely well; wet and smooth. But I'm awful with a fine nib so I swapped in in two seconds for the Fuliwen Medium nib and it is an AWESOME writer! I love this pen! (I know it is early - it might crumble to dust in a week) ;)

Waiting for Pelikan Vibrant Green M600. Sold it a few years ago because it was too 'flashy' for me. Re-bought it to complete my green pen collection.

Pelikan is the focus of my collection, and it just seemed like a big oversight!

I'm still waiting for my Leonardo Momento Zero in Pietra Marina to arrive, a month after I ordered it. I understand the production delay because these pens became hot so quickly, but man... the impatience is real. *sits on hands*

Love those little pen stands -- they're just adorable!

For me it's the new TWSBI 580-ALR Purple. Got the ship notice and tracking info yesterday. In *theory* the pen should get here tomorrow (at the moment it's at the USPS distribution center outside Milwaukee).

A little late, since it arrived yesterday, but I haven't had time to play with it, so:

Just couldn't resist the Sailor KOP in the clipless Tamenuri finish. Managed to snag one of the few that nibs.com had--it's a beautiful pen. Will have fun comparing it to a Danitrio of similar size and color, except the Danitrio has flat top and bottom.

Dear Ruth,

I got this Shiba Inu pair of pen rests from a Fukuoka based potter out of Etsy - and they are very adorable and “dependable” as a team.

best regards,

Is that the first 1911 piston filler - earlier realos were all pro-gear, I think?

My understanding is that the 1911 Realos are piston fillers and the "1911 Large/ Standard (non-Realo)" are cartridge converter pens. This particular demonstrator is a Wancher / Sailor collaboration issue Realo.

No, and no.

Don't know about "first" -- my 1911 Realo was purchased April of 2016... Three years ago!
