What Pen Are You Waiting For 2019

Great, now I know that the 268 will probably be released at the same time with the 352, thanks!

I guess if the 352 comes in an EF, then it is a must buy for me.

You might to throw in a 322 with your order as well. I think the standard 322 has an EF nib.

I'm torn on the 322, yes it has got an EF but I feel that I won't be using it a lot if I had bought it.

Finally bit the bullet and placed a deposit for a Montegrappa x Sailor in the Malachite celluloid in MF for my wife. But in the meantime, both these pens arrived today. It took EXACTLY 4 months for Nakaya to fulfil my order in the Midori-Tamenuri with my given name lacquered on the section in red lacquer. And not forgetting the two Yufuin Bungaku no Mori Sailors and its accompanying complimentary entrance tickets and drinks for one at that establishment in Oita Prefecture 😊

Just placed an order for a Fountain Pen Revolution Himalaya in green ebonite with a medium nib, along with a broad nib and a couple extra feeds.

3 montegrappa nerouno deutto in all colors, rose gold, rhodium and gunmetal.

I plan on using one and selling the other two. That massdrop deal is psychotic.

That massdrop deal is psychotic.

I looked at it a few days ago. Medium nibs only. Just the dregs in my book, of no practical use. No deal.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

I agree, but with massdrop, the fewer options the better. They're heinously bad at screwing up options. I got $20 off one pen because they accidentally sent me a watch in a color that wasn't even an option on the drop! They also screwed up and sent me an F lamy 2000 when I asked for an EF, and screwed up the nib order on my italix parson's essential. And since they only order enough for the order, they can't just fix the mistake.

for $180, compared to the MSRP/resale of 450-700, I'm happy to just have them nibmeistered down to EF and medium italics.

Won an auction today for a burgundy Sheaffer Valiant TD with a 14c Triumph nib, allegedly fitted with a new sac. This will be my first working Triumph.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

A dove grey Parker 51 vacumatic that I got in an auction lot. Just need to get it cleaned up and a new diaphragm put in by someone who knows what they're doing. I'll try to do some things myself, but I'm not taking a chance with this one.

I am waiting on a few pens to come in the mail right now. All Pelikans. I will not be home until August so I rely on FaceTime videos from family when they arrive to see them. First, a 120 Iconic Blue is coming, I do not even recall the nib on it (does not matter, I will use it!). And then two city series M620s are on the way, a Berlin and San Francisco. Both of these have Medium nibs original to the pens. Then I plan to go a little crazy and add three more Pellies to the flock next week if all goes well. I wont say which yet!

Parker Sonnet 2018 Special Edition Atlas is on its way into my collection.

Oooh that's a pretty finish.

I love the 18k sonnet nib. it's just the right amount of bouncy and feedback, and the balance on them is so good.

Not waiting for it in the mail per se, as I've just picked it up from the post office: a Moonman M6 in green, and a Moonman M600S in brown. A PenBBS 308-11SF 'Purple Cloud' arrived just before the weekend.

I like the colour of the M6 I received, but I'm having trouble reconciling it with the descriptor of 'green':
fpn_1561957127__moonman_m600s_and_m6_in_

(The label reads, "Don't want packaging moonman Moonman M6 red Made in China", but it obviously isn't the red variant either.)

Now waiting for four Moonman M200 and a Delike Times (i.e. the Faber-Castell Ondoro clone), a Lamy LX in gold and a Lamy Imporium in titanium finish.

I won an auction for a Parker 50 yesterday. Should arrive on Thur or Fri. Pretty excited for that, if a tad worried because how often do you find a Parker 50 for a bit over 30 bucks these days? Seller rep, pictures and description look good (aside from a hint of finish wear on the section from the blind cap, which I don't terribly mind, and some micro scratches), though, so it might just have slipped through the cracks - German description, German seller, pretty much only shipped within Germany...

Either way, I didn't expect to ever get my hand on a pen model with an integrated nib, so this is great.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
