I think they are absolutely fantastic!

 

However, my attempt to make one would no doubt involve the words emergency room and stitches.

Making one of these fountain pens is not so dangerous as making a Hattori Hanzo sword, but it is equally satisfying.

PauperPen obtained from a can of beer, with MagicThorn nib.

 

Three different types of nibs are available for the PauperPen, all three obtained with the aluminum foil of the can, through one or two folds! This is the folding and cutting scheme of the MagicThorn nib:

Do not worry about the instructions. Important are the diagrams! The folding and cutting method is shown in the video above.

Now we know that, in the event of nuclear war or zombie apocalypse, we will be able to make our own fountain pens and help keep civilization alive.
