Aurora 14K Gold Extra Fine Nib Versus...

A Smug Dill

Dill, you seem to have quite a collection of flagship pens to go with your amazing collection of cheap modern Chinese piston pens. Which I'd not heard about until you mentioned having so many. :o

I never did get an Aurora, had the 88 on my one time list. (My list seems to be close to grail pen only now. I think it's been a year since I bought my last pens, a 1005 and W.Germany 600 (finally).) I tend to buy at live auctions, get to test the pens, and normally only have to beat dealers, not collectors. So get away cheaper.

Aurora Black is still on my list to get, just to say I have some. I still have more than half a bottle of Pelikan 4001 black I bought the day after I returned to fountain pens a decade and a bit ago; so really don't need a black ink. But needs and wants are two different sides of the same coin.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

The cheapest lessons are from those who learned expensive lessons. Ignorance is best for learning expensive lessons.
