Oh, and follow up question. Did you plate a steel clip or make one out of copper?

That clip was one that I purchased. It was copper plated by a plating house. I have made clips out of solid copper and Mokume. This clip just seemed to look good and fit the outlines and profile of the pen.

Thats what happen when you use an iphone, place pen on a white sheet of paper under fluorescent lighting in a workshop. I usually use a Nikon w/macro lens and light box which has been stowed due to house makeover.
