In Search Of The Perfect Notebook

Hello all! I could really use some help looking for a notebook. I'm planning to use it as a planner/journal type thing.

My preferences are:

~ Fountain pen friendly

~ Dot Grid

~ Wirebound/Spiral

~ Side binding, not top

~ About the size of a piece of paper or slightly smaller? I don't want bigger than that but I don't want anything too small either.

I can't seem to find anything that hits these marks, is there anything out there?

You got me with the dot grid. For all your other preferences you can look for spiral notebooks made in Brazil and sometimes Viet Nam. Check out the ones at your local dollar store first. Or.... you could consider printing your own dot grid on the paper of your choice and then taking the stack to an office supply for plastic binding. There are several web sources that offer templates for dot/grid printing if you Google a bit.

Hi Tashiea

Th[ink] do a very nice wire bound A4 dot grid notebook, 100gsm paper. I've got one and can recommend it, Amazon UK stock it if you want to check out reviews.

This B5 (a bit smaller than letter-size) is the closest I could find:

I couldn't find an A4 (bit larger than letter-size) version. Your combination of requirements just isn't something I've seen very often. You may have more luck on eBay or some Japanese site.

Is A5 too small? Basically a half sheet. Even my Franklin Covey planner is about that size. I wouldn't go bigger for that use. I find A4 works pretty good as a journal for me. I have notebooks in active use from pocket size (Apica CD5) to A4 (slightly larger than US letter). Also A5 and composition books.

Awesome books, albeit here in the UK, but they really are good. No point me waffling here, all of your info is on the website :D
