Update - other stub nibs are apparently incompatible with the Monteverde, so we have exchanged for the Monteverde Monza calligraphy set that comes with three different stub nibs. I believe he set the pen up with the 1.5, and he seems happy with it so far. He also likes that it is a demonstrator pen, so I think this may suit him better than the Plumix. Thank y'all for all of your wisdom and insights!
