PS: Never seen a 1.1 in a Pilot Metro (only ever seen Fine and Medium offered, which are roughly 0.3mm and 0.5mm)

 

Here is what they sold me and said it was a "stub"

Oh that's the Cursive Medium you'd be able to get on a Pilot Prera, never seen it offered on a Metropolitan but was definitely an option on the more expensive Prerea.

I had one in the translucent green Prerea I owned briefly, liked it, it was a fair bit nicer than the broad stub in in a 78G, and it's technically a cursive italic being a bit sharper (requiring a more specific angle to the paper than a rounder stub)

See if you get varying results of smoothness/flow depending on your vertical angle to the paper.
