Alt-Goldgrun Staining?

So I filled this pen with Alt-goldgrun and now it's slightly pink? Is this typical. I can't find anything online about this ink staining much less staining is this color. Does anyone have any insight?

That's a pen?  Funky! It looks kinda like one of those compact fluorescent tubes.

There are a couple threads about "cleaning inks" - inks where if you use them, they clean out old stains. The first link appears to involve an attempt with Noodler's Rattler Red Eel and another of Sailor Doyou:

The second involves vintage ink you'd have to look for on eBay or similar:

Yeah. It's an Additive Pens Double Helix. They're 3D printed. Also, cool I shall look into the cleaning inks. They might help since I can't just scrub this pen clean.

Neat! Good luck with the cleaning. Others have also recommended diluted bleach (you'll see that in one of those threads). If you can detach the section from that pen, and as long as there's no reason to worry about bleach harming the material, that might be faster / easier - but having never tried it, I'd do my research before trying it - the inks seem safer. (Though I've never tried the inks either - no need as yet - Sei-Boku has stained a converter, but that pen and I like Sei-Boku, so I'm not seeing it as a problem. :) )

I have looked at that double helix pen. Way cool. Yes, either of the inks will work great. Use a vintage Sheaffer ink (ink well bottles) (my favorite for cleaning is the Blue Black), a Noodler's eel ink, or Sailor Do You. One or two fills and the stain will probably be gone.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Are you sure that is a *pen*? I've never see a *pen* that covers the width of a table top.

It's all a matter of perspective. B)

3-D printed resins are different from what is used in other fountain pens so it is possible that they may stain differently (more so or less so) with a given ink.
